Remedial massage - The muscle melter
Your massage is entirely adapted to your needs, be it a 30 minute foot rub or an indulgent full body massage with aromatherapy oils and soothing hot stones. For problem joints and muscles, we recommend 4-8 weekly sessions of massage, followed by a series of fornightly or monthly treatments to manage any occasional flare-ups.

Hot stones massage - Rock & roll for the soul
The pressure of gently warmed river stones massage penetrates to the deeper tissues of the larger muscle groups, in the back or legs. Truly luxurious, this is the conoisseur's massage. Ideal for anxiety, arthritis, abdomenal and joint pain. Please allow an additional 15 minutes to your treatment time.

Indian head massage - Bliss from the East
For a deeply cleansing and grounding experience this seated massage is highly adaptable. Perfect for clients on the go, there is no need to remove clothing. A simple 30 minute procedure soothes the neck, scalp and face. The more indulgent hour session relieves the entire upper body.

Aromatherapy massage - Skin deep & beyond
Personalised aromatherapy blends at Barton HealthPersonalise any massage or design your own skincare. Our time-honoured recipes are carefully blended for their healing properties, and you can even create your own fragrance. Choose from facial, body or bath oils, or even your own unique organic moisturiser. A patch test is required. Please allow an additional 15 minutes to your treatment time.

Acupressure massage - Alternative to acupuncture
Also known as Tui Na, this invigorating style is adopted within the therapeutic massage. When used to enhance acupuncture treatment, it can be combined with Gua Sha or provide an alternative to needling. Pressure is exerted to points parallel to the spine or at key points over the limbs. The thumbs, heal of the hands, wrists and even elbows rub, roll or vibrate muscle tissue and roll the skin.

Gua Sha Massage - No need for needling
Scrapers and rollers made from wood, bone or horn are used to manipulate the skin and muscles. Used after, or instead of acupuncture, the tools stimulate circulation and remove deeply-set knots. Rejuvenating strokes in a targeted area cleanse and improve the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the whole body.
